Leveraged Finance Associate
Overview
Join a well-established finance practice advising a diverse client base on domestic and cross-border financing transactions. You’ll work with financial institutions, private capital providers, corporate borrowers and investors on a broad range of leveraged and corporate finance matters.
The role offers exposure to acquisition finance, cashflow lending and complex capital structures, including senior, unitranche, mezzanine and other leveraged debt products. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across private capital and M&A teams, advising on the financing aspects of sponsor-backed transactions.
This is an excellent opportunity to build a broad financing practice, working on sophisticated cross-border deals and collaborating with clients and local counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and negotiating a range of documents including facility agreements (LMA-based and bespoke), intercreditor agreements, fee letters, accession agreements, and others.
- Taking a lead role on management of transactions with light touch supervision where necessary.
- Supervising junior team members and contributing to the ongoing growth of the practice.
Requirements
- Solicitor, admitted in England & Wales with approximately 4 to 6 years of post-qualification experience
- Trained and practiced with a highly regarded international law firm in London
- - Experience working on mid-market leveraged finance transactions, ideally with exposure to challenger banks and non-traditional lender clients
