Senior Legal Counsel Wholesale or Satellite
Overview
This is an opportunity to join a globally recognised technology and telecommunications business in one of two Senior Legal Counsel roles, supporting either the Wholesale business or the Satellite business.
The Wholesale role sits within a fast-paced, sales-driven environment, focusing on complex, bespoke B2B customer contracts and working closely with commercial teams to enable revenue-generating deals.
The Satellite role offers a broader and more autonomous remit, covering commercial, procurement, disputes and regulatory matters within a niche and evolving area. This role provides exposure to highly specialised work that is rarely available in the market.
Both roles sit within a high-performing legal team that is deeply embedded in the business, where lawyers are trusted advisors and play a key role in shaping commercial outcomes. The team has a strong reputation for quality work, supportive leadership and career development, with multiple successful placements and consistently excellent feedback.
Wholesale Legal Counsel:
• Drafting and negotiating bespoke customer contracts in a B2B environment
• Partnering closely with sales teams to support commercial outcomes
• Advising on telecommunications regulatory requirements
• Supporting high-value customer negotiations and strategic deals
Satellite Legal Counsel:
• Advising across commercial contracts, procurement, disputes and regulatory matters
• Supporting strategic projects within a specialised satellite business
• Operating autonomously on complex legal issues
• Managing risk within a highly regulated and technically complex environment
Key Responsibilities
- Approximately 10–15+ years PQE (flexible depending on experience and capability)
- Strong experience in corporate and commercial law
- Experience negotiating complex contracts
- Background in technology, telecommunications, infrastructure or other regulated industries is advantageous
- Telecommunications experience is beneficial for the Wholesale role
- Ability to operate autonomously is particularly important for the Satellite role
- Admitted as a solicitor in Australia
- Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
