General Counsel
Overview
Beacon Legal has exclusively partnered with a growing APAC-focused property developer backed by institutional capital. This is a foundational leadership role, responsible for establishing and leading the legal function while acting as a trusted advisor to the Co-CEOs and senior leadership team.
This is a unique opportunity to join the business at an early stage, shape legal strategy, and play a key role in driving growth, structuring investments, and managing risk across the platform.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a senior advisor to the Co-CEOs and leadership team on all legal and commercial matters
- Provide strategic input on transactions, joint ventures, and capital partnerships
- Support and guide negotiations with investors, capital partners, and counterparties
- Translate complex legal concepts into practical, commercial solutions

Requirements
- Senior legal professional with strong experience in funds, investment structuring, or complex commercial transactions
- Proven ability to operate in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence at executive level
- Experience managing external counsel and/or building legal functions
- Broad capability across legal, risk, compliance, and governance matters
- Comfortable operating autonomously while building scalable processes
- Prior in-house experience or a desire to transition into a leadership in-house role
